About the Instructor Alissa Page is a certified, registered and insured yoga instructor. She has a special interest in yoga for the whole family- “infants to elders”. Alissa can remember “doing yoga” as far back as her memory goes. She fondly recalls being taught “relaxation exercises” and playing “yoga games” in summer camp and at school. Alissa completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Certification at Breathe Yoga in March 2008. Consistent with her interest in the entire family, Alissa has earned additional certifications in kid’s yoga, prenatal yoga and restorative yoga from the Shambhava School of Yoga in April 2008. In the spring of 2009 Alissa earned the Level 3 Teacher Training certification, also from the Shambhava School of Yoga.Alissa had the privilege in the fall of 2009 to meet and study under Marsha Wenig, creator of Yoga Kids™. Most recently (spring 2010) Alissa received her certification as a meditation instructor in the Shambhava tradition and an additional prenatal certification.Prior to her yoga teacher trainings, Alissa earned a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University in Theatrical Design and Technical Production. She would now like to help others explore their own creative process through yoga. Alissa is a proud wife and a mother of 2 wonderful teen-aged children, (who are still very supportive of her). In addition to yoga, Alissa loves music, dancing, singing, animals, nature, hiking, camping, gardening, tie-dying, batiking, printing, quilting, and on, and on, and on....(*CPR certified as well) Please see the classes etc page or contact us for more information!
